Richard B. Cheney a notable public servant and entrepreneur is the vice president of the United States. Cheney, a well-known face in Washington politics, worked with four presidents in the US. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush selected Cheney during the summer of 2000 as his vice-presidential running mate, noting Cheney's judgment and insight. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as secretary and chief of staff in the administration of a president, and also in Congress is a tremendous servant to our nation. Republicans as well as Democrats all respect his honesty. Cheney declared that his position in the Bush administration will be that of an honest but quiet advisor. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney said that he is looking forward to serving with a president who will work to get things done by engaging across the partisan divide and working alongside political adversaries to achieve a mutual purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the father of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. He was raised by his father who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district of Casper.
