Eve was born in London England the daughter of the actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack George and Jack George are her two brothers. They have been raised in both and the United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She was a student at Bedales School and then took her A-Levels at Westminster School in London. In her gap-year she played at Beverly Hills Playhouse. Then she attended St Catherine's College Oxford, she read English. The actress was born into a family of mixed race, having an Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent and an Indian maternal grandmother Nora Downey. The Mitras are the middle children of a multiracial household. The older brother of her, Jason Mitra, and her younger brother Guyan Mitra are equally English actors. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra is an acclaimed journalist for travel who's work has been included in Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
